Amazing Grace
Amazing grace through Jesus’ name
that led me to the cross.
That took away my sin torn life
and filled me with His own.
Amazing grace that I received
through God and through His son.
Forever since I gave my life,
He has given me much more.
Through many times His amazing grace
has bathed my soul in love.
For He walks with me, and he talks with me
wherever I may go.
Amazing grace, Amazing love,
God’s love that knows no end
has filled my life with each new day
to serve and live for Him.
Amazing grace through Jesus name

The Morning is Before Me, The Darkness is Behind Me
The morning is before me and the darkness is behind me.
The glory of the Lord has spoken, and He has raised me once more.
The morning is upon me and with it comes new hope.
The morning is a brand new start, a touch from God above.
The morning is upon me as I see the seagulls fly.
The morning is upon me as clouds begin to rise.
I sit upon the rocks as the morning sunlight rises.
I listen to the waves as they rise and crash up high.
I think about the Savior on mornings just like this.
I think of all He’s given for the sake of all mankind.
Yes, the morning is before me, and I am alive in Him.
The darkness is behind me, and my Savior comes beside me.
The Glory of the Lord has spoken, and He has raised me once more.
Things Jesus Said From the Cross
Jesus was hanged on a cross for you and I.
He died in your place to pay your price.
Jesus told Mary to behold her Son.
He looked at John, His beloved disciple,
And said to him, “Son, behold your mother.”
Jesus looked out into the crowd and he prayed,
“Father forgive them, they know not what they do.”
When Jesus said, “I thirst,” they offered Him vinegar and gall.
For Jesus wept for all of those.
He wept because He loved them so.
Jesus cried out to the Heavenly Father saying,
“My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me?
The clouds did open and God looked down
Ready to call His only beloved Son home.
Then Jesus said, “It is finished.”
It is finished on Earth and begins new in heaven.
In heaven, where there is no death, no parting, or tears,
There is Jesus and you and a forever plan.

About the Book
I have been interested in writing since the second grade, but it was only after I trusted in God and began a close walk with Him that I have written this book. God truly has spoken to my heart and allowed me to write the poetry and prose found in When God Speaks. This is a book that has been written from life experiences and deep meditation. I write about many joys and sorrows that come straight from the heart. Many of the words are the way I perceive life in and through others. People are a blessing and are meant to be encouraged and filled with love and happiness. It is with joy that I share my thoughts, poetry, and prose with family and friends and, yes, with strangers yet to become friends. I hope you find this book a joy and an encouragement to read again and again.

Frances Ann Spillers was born and raised in Galveston, Texas, where she received much of her inspiration for her poetry and prose. She had a desire to write from an early age, but started saving her work after she trusted God and allowed Him to speak to her heart through writing. Frances is a dedicated servant of God, and she aims to be an encouragement to everyone she meets.
