In my little boat, on the lake, allowing the wind and water to take me where they will,
my thoughts float also.
Pray God they float to Him...of Him.
Not just floating or drifting, I was being propelled by the wind from my favorite fishing spot into the shallows. Several times I paddled furiously to get back to where I wanted to be.
It occurred to me how like life that is. Society--the culture--pushes us in a direction we KNOW is not of God. For a while we push back and return to where we ought to be.
Unfortunately, we sometimes give up the struggle and just go with the flow.
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Galatians 6:9
Don’t give up fighting against the current. God will give you the strength to keep paddling.
