CHAPTER 5
Ships of Zion
The voice of today's Church are becoming increasingly silent in a world that is becoming increasingly sinful. The principles of the world of darkness are successfully placing dark shadows upon the principles of the world of light.
The Church was designed by Christ to shine as a light so man may see his way to the holy city of God. It is written that the open gates of hell shall not prevail. Now is the time that each member shall pull up anchors and be about the business of the Church. Each member of the Church of Christ has been molded by God into an individual vessel capable of transporting themselves and others from life to eternal life.
In this sense these vessels will be referred to as "ships." Man is referred to as a vessel by the scriptures. Ships transport people. Every church congregation should develop skills to equip every vessel with the knowledge of God.
The four ships of Zion: worship (God ship), fellowship, discipleship and stewardship. Each of these Christian "ships" have the capability of embarking souls to the place of eternal life. These ships are of the same spirit.
When the word of God is used for kindling, the power of the word directs their way.
Wor-ship
Webster's definition of worship is reverence for a sacred object: high esteem or devotion for a person; to revere; attend a religious service. This is a good secular definition of worship. However, this definition leaves too many ways that a person can miss boarding the "Worship" ship of Zion. God is not an object, God is a spirit. The spirit of God determines the degree of sacredness of any person, place or thing. To board the ship of Zion you must not worship sacred objects. We worship the god that provides the sacredness of these objects.
God is not an object. God is a spirit. The spirit of God determines the degree of sacredness of any person, place or thing. To board the Ship of Zion you must not worship sacred objects. We worship the God that provides the sacredness of these objects.
Worshipping God for many of us have become precious moments. These moments have become so precious to us that we have acquired a selfish nature about them. When we should worship God has become a needless issue of division.
Who is truly a member of the church of Christ? Who is more capable of directing our faith? The question that comes to my mind is, "How can you divide one father, one son, one spirit?"
Where should we worship God? The obvious answers to the question would be in those places which has been set aside for and in His holy name. Nothing is holy apart from God. We worship in places where we have covenant with God that we will advocate and praise the excellence of His ways. This includes in our hearts, souls spirits and minds as well as in places of our secular choices.
How do we worship God?
We worship God in spirit and in truth. We worship God in the spirit of all of His natural unbelievable, believable attributes. Then we worship Him in the spirit of all of His loving unbelievable, believable moral attributes. We worship Him because He is God, the almighty! And, he is that all by Himself. We worship Him when it is taxing. We worship
Him when it is not taxing. Taxing ways of worshipping God would be when we have the opportunity to advance His ways, by being of good courage and choosing truth and righteousness in our places of worship, schools, work places and communities. We worship God when it is not taxing when we sing praises to His name and when we are in His presence and in the presence of other believers.
When do we worship God?
We worship God in the morning. We worship God in the evening. We worship God in the night. We worship God all the days of our lives.
