Weapons Training for Spiritual Warfare and Frontline Ministry

The book you hold in your hands was forged by my journey through the fire of my own healing and deliverance. As I have spent many years helping others through their personal journeys toward healing and freedom, I have discovered a number of spiritual weapons that are available through the cross and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Moreover, these weapons began to have great and practical relevance in my day-to-day life, both in ministry and in my workplace. As I began to experience more victory in my personal life, I was simultaneously noticing many defeated and struggling Christians around me. I saw that many Christians were unaware of all the weapons and tools that are available to them in this spiritual war. It became immediately obvious to me that many believers did not even know they were in a war. Moreover, many didn’t understand their identity and the authority and power made available to them through the cross and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It was then that I felt moved to write this book. The Lord has taught me how to effectively shut down the demonic in the various spheres of my life; it is the acquisition of these spiritual weapons and my successful experience with them that I hope to impart to you.

One of the first places I began to experience the practicality of spiritual warfare was in my own marriage and family. With my kids, for example, conflicts, arguing, and sibling rivalry all but died out or became significantly muted in comparison. I also began to see my workplace affected as well, as I began to employ some of these spiritual weapons.

I work as one of the security officers at the courthouse in my town. My work-place, previously a hostile work environment, began to change almost immediately. As I began learning how to effectively limit demonic activity in my workplace, I immediately began to notice changes in my work environment. This experience began to open my eyes to just how much influence these unseen forces have in our day-to-day lives and how we can begin to defeat them.

“Spiritual Warfare” is a very vague and nebulous term in many circles of Christendom. It is also considered to be a very broad topic. Many believers talk about it but don’t really know what it is or how to successfully engage in it. Some are even afraid of or at least uncomfortable with the subject. My purpose is that this book will arm the Christian with a working knowledge of how to engage our enemy in battle successfully, taking ground away from the demonic realm and bringing light into places previously occupied by darkness. God wants more than anything to see His church (His bride) walk in purity and in victory, so I wanted to write a book that would give the believer in Christ a working knowledge of the various spiritual weapons made available to them. I want to teach you how to effectively employ these weapons. I want to train you for war so that you can gain the victory in your walk with God, win the lost out of darkness, and effectively destroy the works of the devil!  In this way you will begin to truly experience kingdom reality and dominion over the demonic realm. Moreover, you will start to be the change agent in your sphere of influence as God uses you to advance His kingdom. This happens only as you learn to walk in spiritual authority, the next issue I will address.
