There are very important choices that we make in life, and choices lead to destinations. One of the most important choices we make is how we choose to RUN in this Race of life. If we are not changing, we are not running properly. It’s impossible to Run in such a way and not change.
The goal is to WIN!
As the apostle Paul says, “Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.” (1 Corinthians 9:24)
Paul teaches us how to be Runners and Run in such a way.
As athletes in every sport must train to play by the rules or they will be disqualified, we must play by the rules in the Race of life. God has not called you to Run another’s Race – He has called you to Run your own Race. The Race He has set before you.
Circumstances will detour, disappoint, and devastate us at times. People will fail us and feelings will challenge us. When the Race becomes difficult we tend to blame other people or the circumstances, or even God. When we stumble, trip, and fall, we must remember that “God’s divine power has given us all things we need that pertain to this life”. (2 Peter 1:3)
Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith, will be right beside you each mile, stride after stride. He has Run before you, and desires to show you how to win in the only Race that matters. Run will help you keep a good pace. Sometimes we tend to even run away when we get too close to Jesus! Our nature tends to like to run a couple of miles behind Jesus and train from a distance. However, when we run behind Jesus at a comfortable pace, it’s easier to deny Him. Then, when challenged, we become scared and fall out of the Race altogether.
We need to make that choice to Run like a great Runner! Fall on your knees through this study, friends, and embrace your Race!
JESUS WILL FOREVER CHANGE YOU.
Run will teach and train you to Run with tenacity through the shin splints and stress fractures of life.
Run will create an all-in/mind-over-matter attitude.
Run will motivate you to strive to become the person God designed you uniquely to be.
Run will teach you the reality of the future prizes and explode your faith every step of the Race.
Run will remind, renew, and exhort the winner in you.
I encourage you to show up at the starting line of God’s Race, put your focus in the right place, and WIN!

About the Book
Winning the spiritual Race does not depend upon how fast you Run; it is determined by how you Run. There is a right way and wrong way to Run. Having an organized Training plan is your only chance to make it to the Finish Line. This book study will become a personal Training manual. Run will give you instructions and resources that will equip you to win the Race. The Christian life is often described as a Race – one designed by God. In it, we are called to fulfill His purposes for us. We need to be in spiritual shape. Trying to run a marathon is very different from Training to run a marathon. Let’s get fit – we can’t quit when the going gets rough. We can go through all the religious stunts, but unless there is a desire to Train to be like Jesus, few make it and many fall to defeat. A great factor in success is consistency. We may start out in front, leading, but if we do not stay consistent, we become entangled in the affairs of this life. God has called you to Run the Race set before you! Fall on your knees through this study and embrace your Race! It’s possible to Run the entire Race, and even cross the Finish Line, only to realize you have been disqualified because you did not Run in such a way. Life is not a game with no lasting consequences. The way we Run has eternal consequences. Lace up, friend; you have a Race to win!
