Everyone must know that life is a journey and you will go through some doors but most important is the Gates of God. The Sheep's Gate is your acceptance into this great salvation. After acceptance you go into the Fish Gate to witness for the Lord wherever you go. The Old Gate is the ways of holiness. The Valley Gate is times of suffering. The Fountain Gate is the gate of refreshing. The Dung Gate is where sin is confessed before the Lord. The Water Gate is where you bath and then inspected at the Inspection Gate. The Prison Gate shows you to be a prisoner of Jesus Christ. After Inspection, you are ready for the Horse Gate, ready for war. The East Gate allows you to come into the presence of the Lord and the Final Gate is your final resting place, heaven.

Pastor Elizabeth Washington is the pastor of the Bethel of Truth Church in Glenside, Pennsylvania. After twenty years of serving in the air force reserve, she heard the call of God for ministry. Pastor Washington’s steadfastness in serving the Lord, as well as the church and community, has helped her strive toward perfection in helping others through the gates of a Christian’s life.
About the Author
Born November 19, 1951, in a small steel town in Johnstown, Pa to a God reverencing family upbringing. She accepted the Lord into her heart at the age of 15 when she saw fire shoot around the sanctuary and the Lord got her attention. She went into the military and decided not to play with God and rode the waves of a backslider. However, she told the Lord, “I’ll be back.” The Lord ever left her and she came back to the Lord after hating the sin that drove her from her Father’s house. She came back to the Lord at the age of 31 and has been working in God’s vineyard from Sister in her church, to Teacher of the Gospel, to Evangelist speaker of the Word of God, to Pastor over the sheep of God. She is the pastor of Bethel of Truth Church in Glenside, Pennsylvania with the founding scripture, John 17:17 – Sanctify them by thou truth, for thy word is truth. She is married to Oscar Washington, Sr., two children, Melinda and Oscar Jr., and one grandson, Diamond.
