I could feel the familiar weight of the 9mm Beretta laying up against my heart in the breast pocket of my jacket. I had stopped unannounced at Greg’s old farmhouse in the country that night. When he came to the door, I sensed that he didn’t want me there. I found out why after he let me in. A package containing what looked to be about $100,000 worth of Chrystal meth had just arrived in the mail. Greg told me to hang out in the kitchen while he took care of something in the other room. While sitting there, a thought came to me: “What could I do with Greg’s body?” No one knew I was there. How easy would it be to put a bullet in him and take all the dope for myself? This is what my life had come to. The decisions I was making were not where to send my kids to college or where to go on vacation, but how I would dispose of a body and get away with murder.

About the Book
Doug was born into violence and alcoholism and raised in foster homes, juvenile lockup, and prison. After years of being an enforcer of a motorcycle gang and dealing with drug addiction, Doug found himself face to face with the only man who could bring him to his knees...Jesus Christ.
About the Author
I believe I am qualified to write this book because God orchestrated it.
My husband, Doug, the subject of the book, has always wanted to glorify God by sharing the circumstances and reasons he is a Christ follower today. For my part, I happen to love to write.
We both desire to serve God and see this book as an extension of that desire. Doug has been sharing bits and pieces of his life with me for the past nine years. Creating this book has been sort of like putting a puzzle together, revealing a beautiful picture once the last piece is put into place. We have attempted to paint the beautiful picture of life with belief in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. In order to get there, though, it was necessary to go to some very dark places. We hope that sharing Doug's journey will help others to find their way to the loving arms of Jesus Christ. I believe my purpose in life is sharing God's love through encouragement and acts of service. I worked as a mental health social worker for ten years and have been a special educator for the past eight. I am also working on a PhD in Education. I live with my husband and children in Centerville, Ohio.
