Of the eleven tablets, or documents, in Genesis, only the first, the sixth and last are reliable. Tablet One is the account of the seven days of creation week. Tablet Two is to Tablet One as dysfunctional is to functional, as the Lord is to God. Tablet One is written by the human, male and female, before the Fall. After the Fall, two individuals who despise and depend on each other in equal measure compose the three scrolls in Tablet Two.
Scrolls One and Two, written by Adam, contain his distorted memories of the creation, the Fall and the punishments meted out by the Lord God before our first parents are expelled from the garden. Scroll Three, written by Eve, recounts the murder of Abel by Cain, Cain’s punishment, and the birth of Seth. Eve begins her scroll praising the Lord for the birth of Cain and ends it thanking God for giving her Seth in place of Abel; meanwhile, men begin to call on the name of the Lord…
The cause of dysfunction in Genesis is a lie. In a sense, each document (after Document One) is a fabric woven of truth and lies, function and dysfunction. Document One is the “key” document. It is designed to highlight the continuing functionality of God’s creation as it slowly disappears in the other documents in a man-made labyrinth of lies and distortions.

About the Book
No two readers can understand a passage in Scripture in the same way, because reading the Bible is a voyage of self-discovery. What do these authors say about themselves? What does my understanding of their stories say about me?
Readers cannot hide from Scripture behind literary theories, cultural hypotheses, or any other form of make-believe. We are all created to be aware of God in his creation and his creation in ourselves. Only by looking outward can we see inward. That’s why our first parents lost themselves in a labyrinth of shattered images when they sought their “real selves” in ground-molded bodies.
Of course, it did not help that their quest for inner discovery began with attempted suicide…
