There are markers which identify false prophets and teachers. It is imperative that we know the difference so we can differentiate between the truth and lies and between God’s children/faithful servants and those who are liars. This paper exposes a raft of lies and liars; a raft of people who would abuse and exploit God’s children. Such teaching from the pages of the Bible empowers the Christian to recognize and resist these enemies of the Gospel. Just as a small child needs to learn safety rules such as “stranger danger” and “look both ways” to cross the road, so Christians need to heed the warnings of the apostles. Christians must be wary of lies and deceit spoken in the name of Jesus. One must also be aware of doctrines which draw us away from honoring Jesus as our Sovereign Lord. We must be guarded against those who use positions of authority in the Church to abuse the brethren and we must be aware of and avoid getting caught up in any situation where “church leaders” are exploiting the brethren. We must also be on guard against those who bring the Church of Christ under a shadow of disrepute. Avoid these people. Paul made it clear that knowing the gospel as it was delivered by the original apostles, this is our protection. Jude adds to this advice from Paul: to counter and protect ourselves from such influences, we are to build ourselves up in our most holy faith; pray in the Holy Spirit and keep ourselves in God’s love as we wait on his mercy which will bring eternal life.

About the Book
In the accounts of the early church and in the letters of the apostles to the beloved brethren, time and again there are references to people who systematically thwarted the apostles’ efforts to preach the pure gospel message. As Christians we are often challenged about our beliefs. This work will release Christians who are trapped by misconceptions and who may be bound by false teaching. Such people will be liberated from the shackles of the mind, which hold them back from the full appreciation of the Spirit of God’s power in their lives.
This book will also serve to clarify questions of non-Christians who are curious about the conflicting ideas from groups who purport to be Christian but who cannot agree. Finally and most powerfully, this book will free people to embrace the gospel and to bask in the gift of God: eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour.
