This is a story of heartache and pain that could have and should have been avoided. Like you, I placed a high priority on the relationship that I had with my children. I worked very hard to make sure that they received the things they needed. All events and classes in school that they wanted to be involved in (although many times they were quite expensive) we made sure they could be a part of. We were the parents at every ballgame. We went to parent-teacher conferences. When our children had a performance, whether school or church related I never missed it. So I will be real honest and tell you that this is not how I thought that my relationship with my child would progress.
God is never surprised by the events in our life but I will be completely honest if had I seen this coming, I would have decided to take my life and go on home to heaven. This has been the most difficult life anyone could ever imagined and the purpose I have in writing this book is to keep someone else from making the same mistakes and facing the same heartache and hardships that my family has.

About the Book
The American Dream—two kids, a home, and job security; I had all that. But I did not know my son was a drug addict. My youngest child was destroying our home. As a mother, you wonder, what did I do wrong? I taught him right from wrong, took him to church. How could he make these choices? He is hurting everyone, but he does not care. An addict will do anything to get the money he needs. He is so deceitful and full of lies. But the addiction has so consumed him that he has resorted to stealing from us, pawning tools and jewelry. I beg him to get help, but he insists he does not want or need help. I know that I am going to be forced to make some decisions that will affect him forever. Can I do that? Will he ever understand? Will he or the rest of the family ever forgive me?
About the Author
I am a Sunday school and Bible study teacher. I love writing and believe God can help anyone overcome any obstacle they are facing if they will pursue God’s Word and be obedient to His will. I want to age gracefully and glorify my Savior in everything I do!
I am married and have two grown sons and one grandson. When I worked, I was a vice president in a large bank. I stay busy doing things for my church, doing things with my grandson, and writing.
