Ecclesiastes 8:5 declares, “A wise man’s heart discerns both time and judgment.”
As you embark on this personal journey, let me take this time to encourage you: there will be moments of reflection and thought patterns that will surface past hurt and pain, sorrow and regret but I promise you Beloved, there will be breakthroughs.! Oh Yes! There will be the steady, unmistakable voice of God drawing you closer as clarity, healing, and forgiveness starts to reveal what needs to be healed and then it begins to surface... The true beauty of who you are will begin to rise. This is God's divine process, timed perfectly and ordained for you in this very hour—this moment is no accident.
You will need courage to continue and strength to remain. But He will not leave you in the middle of it. In fact, He is the One who will listen as your soul speaks, and He will respond because his desire is to heal you and give you a new heart.
There is a stillness here that is a holy; a sacred place where the presence of God invites you to listen. To reflect. To search honestly within the deepest parts of your soul. Both the known and the unknown...buried beneath layers of unmet expectations yet still waiting to lead you back to truth.
It is in this sacred space that truth begins to surface. Not just truth about God, but truth about YOU: all the pain, all the cycles of wrong choices will begin to rise out of your soul, and your obedience to change what needs to be changed, is something you need to decide now.
‘Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” Hebrews 11:1 (NKJV)
Because breakthroughs are only born in that position of honesty.
Something profound happens when you enter a place where you allow the Spirit of the Lord to minister to your soul, now.
In His holiness, you are not just comforted—you are confronted, lovingly and intentionally. He calls you into divine alignment with truth, because only truth sets you free. And it is that freedom that prepares you to walk in the destiny He has created you for.
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” —Ephesians 2:10 (NIV)
DAY ONE
The Stillness that Heals
‘You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.” —Psalm 139:15–16 (NLT)
In the stillness of the womb. God’s hand was already at work. Before we even took our first breath, before we could understand or respond, God was shaping us for His purpose.
The bible tells us in Psalm 139 that He ‘formed” us, knitting us together in the secret place of the womb, where every intricate detail of our being was carefully designed. This was not by our doing, nor was it by chance. It was the deliberate act of a Creator, compelled by love, who fashioned us for love, intimacy and fellowship with Him. He created us in his image, unlike any other who has ever walked the earth or ever will walk this earth.
Each of us was intricately designed and lovingly handcrafted by the Master Himself, formed with intentional traits, strengths and purpose. And yet, no matter how unique our design, we were all created to reflect His heart.
You may ask, “What does that mean?”
It means in this place of stillness is a divine space where everything we would ever need has already been placed inside of us, simply waiting to be acknowledged.
At the very core of our being, what we’ve done or what we’ve been through, there is something eternal and untouched, something God himself formed within us, to carry His nature of response.
Within us lies the ability to choose Him, to worship, to pray, and to cry out with unrelenting trust. So, when the soul rises, with its own thoughts and desires, God anchors us with the plumbline of His Spirit drawing us back into alignment with His heart.
He did not create us as distant beings trying to earn closeness, but as image bearers designed to dwell with Him.
You ask, how do I reflect God’s heart?
Beloved, you reflect His heart when you desire to love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind and with all your strength.
His desire becomes your desire.
But how is that even possible?
My heart, you say, has been through too much to love like that!
Beloved, this isn’t about what you can do. This is where you begin to understand how intricately you were created by a God who is love.
The same God who formed both your soul and your heart has designed them to live in divine sync with His desire.
This is the beginning of your journey of healing.
