Rivers of Living Water

1 Corinthians 13:3 If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.

Lord, I want to learn to be a real giver because You are, yet I want the motive for my giving to be love for You and for Your people. Since only You can change my heart, I ask You to align my heart, my thoughts and intents with Yours, that I may give from a pure heart of love for You first and then for others. Let me give as You give, expecting nothing in return, cheerfully, without reservation or hesitation, knowing You will be faithful to supply my every need and reward me when I do it with pure motives. As I grow in love, help me also grow in giving from a pure heart.

My beloved, you are learning what I require from My children – a pure heart – yet also that it only comes as you continue seeking, hungering and thirsting for My righteousness. You already have My righteousness through the blood of Jesus, yet the heart takes time to fully purify and align with Mine. However, it is guaranteed to happen if you continually spend time with Me for you cannot spend time with Me and not become more like Me, for you become what you behold. As you continue to spend your time in My presence, gazing into My face and meditating upon My nature, rest assured it will happen and I AM well pleased with your desire to be like Me. That in itself is an indication of the purifying of your heart that is taking place and I promised in My Word that the pure in heart will see Me. You have “seen” Me in your circumstances and situations and at times in and through other people, yet you will see Me even more clearly as you continue on this journey we are on together. You will see and you will be satisfied, My love.
