Kimberella and Prince Roderick think that there are not too many things more humiliating in this world than being in a rock & roll band and having to look over your reading glasses to see who just walked into the joint. JANUARY 3 (Day 3 of 366) Let’s see what the Bible has to say: Matthew 15:14 Leave them; they are blind guides. If a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit. Kimberella and Prince Roderick went to the mall to select a fancier bathroom scale. After choosing the best looking scale, Kimberella put two identical ones on the floor side-by-side and she was getting on and off both of them. Prince Roderick asked, “What are you doing Doll?” She replied, “I’m trying to find the most flattering scale for our bathroom.” He said, “Just choose one, they are both the same.” She exclaimed, “Oh no they’re not!” FEBRUARY 2 (Day 33 of 366) Let’s see what the Bible has to say: Acts 1:24 Then they prayed, “Lord, you know everyone’s heart. Show us which of these two you have chosen.” Don’t you just love the first day in springtime when you can open your windows and let a warm breeze blow through your house? Kimberella sure does. MARCH 20 (Day 80 of 366) Let’s see what the Bible has to say: John 3:8 The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit. Kimberella and Fudgy entered the ‘Pet and Maid Marathon’ that was held last month. Kimberella ended up carrying Fudgy the last two miles over the finish line and then back to their house because he was showing off for a cute little poodle and tripped over a family of ducks crossing their path. This resulted in three sprained ankles. Kimberella wonders if Prince Roderick can grow out his hair in the next few weeks so he can pass as an Old English sheepdog for the next race. APRIL 24 (Day 115 of 366) Let’s see what the Bible has to say: 1 Corinthians 11:14 Does not the very nature of things teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him. One night after Kimberella had a hard day at work, Prince Roderick complained, “Pizza again?” MAY 24 (Day 145 of 366) Let’s see what the Bible has to say: Proverbs 17:1 Better a dry crust with peace and quiet than a house full of feasting, with strife. Sara-Sara knows that the Bible is a great book to learn how to manage stress. JUNE 14 (Day 166 of 366) Let’s see what the Bible has to say: John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. Kimberella prefers to sleep in a camper while in the woods. She wouldn’t mind the tent if it weren’t for the bears making shadow puppets with the lantern in the middle of the night. JULY 15 (Day 197 of 366) Let’s see what the Bible has to say: Luke 10:5 When you enter a house, first say, ‘Peace to this house.’ Jules says, “It is better to be a shrimp who is happy, than to be a crab who is not.” AUGUST 15 (Day 228 of 366) Let’s see what the Bible has to say: Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always, I will say it again: Rejoice! Kimberella asks, “Do you know the difference between devil’s food cake and angel food cake?” The answer is: “The chocolate one is more sinful.” Although, eating half of the other cake in one sitting isn’t exactly angelic. SEPTEMBER 14 (Day 258 of 366) Let’s see what the Bible has to say: 2 Corinthians 11:14 And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. When Prince Roderick and The General go hunting at their friend’s cabin, they take so much food with them, there is really no motivation to be hunting for it. OCTOBER 25 (Day 299 of 366) Let’s see what the Bible has to say: Numbers 11:4 The rabble with them began to crave of the food, and again the Israelites started wailing and said, “If only we had meat to eat!” Kimberella will never be accused of being a slave to fashion. A slave to caramel sauce perhaps, but never to fashion. NOVEMBER 3 (Day 308 of 366) Let’s see what the Bible has to say: Mark 10:45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many. Kimberella and Prince Roderick go once a month to their favorite Chinese restaurant in their town called ‘Tingle-Ling’s’. They always read aloud their fortune cookies’ messages to see who will pay for dinner that evening by reading in between the lines. Kimberella read from her insert, “You’ll be astounded by another’s generosity.” She smiled at her prince while he opened his. She quickly turned her smile upside down when he read, “Reach, but you will not find, the wallet you left behind.” Who believes in those things anyway?! DECEMBER 17 (Day 352 of 366) Let’s see what the Bible has to say: James 4:13-15 Now listen you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.”

About the Book
Kimberella and Prince Roderick try to live a normal day-to-day life here on Earth, but sometimes they fail to do so.
Prince Roderick grew up in the country, learned how to build houses, played in a family band since age eleven, hunted, fished, and explored the outdoors. Kimberella lived in the city, took piano lessons, baked, knitted, and never quite grew up.
As husband and wife, they manage to compromise by building two houses, playing in bands, and living in Kimberella’s childhood home in the city. They also go hunting, fishing, and camping together.
They raised a son and daughter, who are both married, each having two children of their own. Their dog, Fudgy, is the master of the house.
“Jack and the Old Folk Band” consists of themselves along with their son and DJ. They will play your special request; you just may not recognize it as such.
One thing all of the characters have in common is that they are God-loving Christians who go about their lives the best way then can, using God’s Holy Bible as their guide.
Kimberella hopes that after reading this book every day for a year, and hopefully for many years to come, you will pick up your Bible and read it to receive God’s message for you to get through any situation that may arise.
Please note: Fifty percent of these stories are real-life experiences, which is unfortunate in some cases, and is the reason why a few people insisted that a book be written about them. And so it has.
About the Author
Kimberly Weires lives with her husband, Rodney, in Dubuque, Iowa. They have two married children and four grandchildren. Their half-human dog, Fudgy, is in heaven now, surely stirring things up.
