About the Author

Murl has been a therapist for 40 years and a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Oregon for 25 years. He founded Mt. Hood Counseling Service in Sandy, Oregon in 1984. He has also been a part-time college instructor, youth director, and an elder in various churches. He has given many seminars and developed residential treatment and sex offender programs. Murl loves to share growth and maturity concepts with others especially pastoral staff. He has a God-given passion for people and loves to make individuals laugh.

Bev never wanted to be a therapist yet has been for 25 years. She has lead various healing groups and is passionate about people growing and changing. She has been a youth leader, women’s ministry coordinator and a mentor mom. Currently she is an advisor for MOPS and MOMSNext at East Hill Church. She loves to share the growth process and recovery with young mothers.

Murl and Bev have been married over 50 years and have two grown children and five grandchildren. Murl and Bev enjoy being on their acreage, building new things or just walking the dogs. Bev enjoys weaving, quilting and gardening. They both love sharing time with their family, especially the grandchildren.

There are so many books written every year about growing in Christ; follow these 39 steps and you will be a radiant, wealthy, (insert your favorite attribute here), or humble Christian.
