About the Book
I am writing these words because I am tortured and tormented day and night. For weeks and now months, I have fought a fierce battle that I know I cannot win alone. There have been moments that I was certain my heart would stop or that the weight of this burden would surely stop my breathing. The absolute despair and depression have been unbearable, and I wondered at times if I would survive. Only with God’s divine intervention can I find the person that I want and need to be.
About the Author
Bill Kennedy passed away in December 2011. In going through his things, this handwritten manuscript was found. It tells of a heartbreaking experience that resulted from changing occupations, which he felt was God’s leading. Bill was raised in Missouri but spent a great deal of his life in southern California and in the Northwest with his wife and four children. Bill lost his vision to macular degeneration in 2004. He did beautiful oil paintings previously but continued to paint with just a smidgen of peripheral vision in his left eye. He also taught tap dancing to a group of fifty- to eighty-year-old ladies and performed with them; they were called “The Tap Grandmas.” He and a partner also performed in Christmas musicals at our church. Bill was a musician, artist, faithful Christian, and loyal friend--and is so missed.
