Walking with God is not always easy as some would have you believe. If we dig a little deeper and study a little more we can see how God worked in the lives of people like the apostle Paul. There is so much to learn from God’s word. This may not be an easy walk but it is worth every moment. I would not have it any other way and I pray you feel that way also. God bless you.
2nd Timothy 4:16 But the Lord
At my first defense no one stood with me, but all forsook me, “May it not be charged against them.” But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that the message might be preached fully through me, and that all the Gentiles might hear.
We have Paul who is in prison
His time is drawing near
In a few weeks he’ll be martyred
His letter to Timothy makes things clear.
At his defense no one stood with him
With fear they all did run
Yet Paul asked that they be forgiven
Not all can follow Gods Son.
Paul was teaching Timothy
How to preach the word
How to be an evangelist
And get the gospel heard.
His commitment to Jesus Christ
Had nothing to do with success
He wasn’t out to impress the world
With money, influence and assets.
Paul knew the Lord stood with him
To give him the strength he required
To walk in the truth of the gospel
In the way that God had desired.
He never promised easy
We have to take a stand
The enemy still roams around
Devouring who he can.
Paul, God bless his heart
Kept his eyes upon the lord
He showed us how to run the race
And who we’re running for.
As you pastor and you minister
And you strive to do Gods will
Do you feel a constant struggle
Like the battle is all uphill.
Take a moment to remember
The turmoil Paul went through
He sacrificed all God required
share the gospel with you.

About the Book
Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior? I know that in order for this book to have the impact on you that I pray it does, you need to know your Creator and Savior. You need to know the mercy of God and how incredible He is. This book is meant to help you walk a little closer to God. If you have not done so, I urge you to take a moment and pray. God doesn’t want anyone to be lost, including you and me. Just pray to Him that you know He died for your sins and that you need Him in your heart and life. Tell Him you are sorry, and let Him know you are submitting to His will. And by all means, tell Him you love Him.
Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except by Him. There is no other way to heaven. You will be so glad you submitted, and now join me and countless others as we learn more about God and as we walk toward heaven.
In the form of poetry, I have written about some well-known characters of the Bible and some you may not know. You will see the way God has worked in the lives of many people, some of whom you may not think deserve His mercy and grace. I hope it encourages you to pick up the Bible and read for yourself God’s amazing love story.

As a follower of the Lord Jesus, I know it is not about me. This life is a vapor in the wind. Without Jesus there’s no hope or freedom. We are here to serve God. Let’s be in awe of what a mighty God He is.
