Songs in the Night is about songs—songs many people know, songs that have sounded inside me at night and early in the morning. I think I have heard these songs because people have prayed for me. I have been encouraged to pray more when I have heard these anointed songs that exalt Jesus.
About the Author
Solveig Jacobsen was brought up in a Christian home in a small village in Norway. Travelling evangelists often stayed in her home for a week or more when they preached in church and prayer meetings. She always looked forward to having those preachers in her home.
Solveig was very much touched when there were revival services in her hometown. Both she and her mother enjoyed singing. When she became a teenager, she dreamt about travelling to many countries.
