HIGH ON THE MOUNTAIN is a prophetic and historical history concerning the Jewish people. Four thousand years ago the Jewish people were in a certain portion of land in what would two thousand years later be named by the Romans as Palestinia. God had made a covenant with Abraham and his descendants that the land would be theirs forever. However, prophecy stated that the Jewish descendants would first go into captivity. Four hundred fifty years later they would be led from their Egyptian captivity and they would again occupy the land of their fathers in about 1406 B.C. The Jewish people would have their first king in 1043 B.C. High on the mountain of Mt. Moriah, was a city called Jerusalem which would become their capital city under David. There was also a 35 acre plot of land that had been dedicated as the Temple Mount and would become know to the world as the Holiest Plot of Land in all the world. The Jewish people and their beloved city would survive until 587 B.C. when they would again be taken into captivity by the Babylonians. Yet they would again return to the land that they considered their homeland, until they were almost completely destroyed by the Romans in 70 A.D. Now they would be scattered throughout the world just as prophecy had stated. The land became a desolation and unproductive just as prophecy stated. Although they have been subjected to a multitude of attacks, cruelties, persecution and death by the millions, they would somehow again return to their beloved land and become the Nation of Israel. They would again reclaim their capital city of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount. The land would again become productive and flourish after becoming a desolation and said to be “dead forever.” Why was this land so important? What is their claim to the land? Who actually owns the Land? How could a land so desolate and unproductive again become productive and “better than before?” What has the prophetic word of God said about this land and these people? HIGH ON THE MOUNTAIN will address all these questions and much more as we look into the root of all the Middle Eastern problems and discuss: The People of Israel--The Land of Israel--The Messiah of Israel, Past, Present and Future.
THE LAND OF MORIAH Four thousand years ago, God began to reveal His plans for a certain piece of land and used His friend, Abraham, to begin the process. I am sure that you will conclude as I have that this was a part of His divine plans at the very creation of this world. We begin our study with the land of Moriah.

About the Author
Bobby V. Johnson was born in the Delta farming region of Louisiana. He was raised and has lived in the Christian faith. Bobby served in the Air Force for five years. After discharge, he worked as a civilian employee in the Department of the Air Force until retirement. He currently resides in Central Texas. Mr. Johnson holds an associate of science degree from South Plains College, attended Texas Tech University and Steven F. Austin University, has completed several college continuing education courses, and speaks two languages. He also has studied with the Berean Bible Institute of the Assemblies of God. He has served as teacher, educational director, and director of Bible school, as well as other capacities of the church. He is an ordained deacon in the Assemblies of God and Baptist denominations and is a licensed minister.
