Uncle Fred went into the kitchen to help Jack’s mom finish the Christmas dinner. Jack lined the banks up on the coffee table. He had ten dimes, so he placed one dime on the table in front of the red bank labeled TITHE. He put another dime on the table in front of the green bank labeled SAVE. Jack counted the remaining dimes out in front of the blue bank labeled SPEND. There were just eight dimes left.
A sad expression crossed Jack’s face. He remembered that the little red racecar cost one dollar. That is ten dimes thought Jack. Then something happened in Jack’s heart. He did not want to give God a dime anymore. He did not want to save a dime either. He just wanted to spend it all on his little red racecar.
