What Is the Bible?
The bible is a book of truth not theory. It claims to state the truth as spoken by the Almighty, most high God: it also truly states the words of men and their experiences. It has one consistent flow of truth from Genesis to Revelation, although it was written by many different people, in different eras.
The bible was not intended to be the book of all knowledge: but contains important information that could only be known by revelation from the Creator. Man was given the intelligence and the capability to search out the creation in height and depth, and come to conclusions based on the foundation established by God. The ultimate reason for the Word of God is to bring man into the knowledge of God’s plans and purposes for His creation in the present and in the future.
• The bible reveals that there is one Creator of heaven and earth, the Almighty, most high God. It describes all about His nature, His eternal purposes and judgements.
• It details the history of man from his creation to his eternal destiny. (See Chapter 6–The Story of Man)
• It shows the way to eternal life: and gives clear instructions on living the successful life.
• It reveals what happens to man after death.
• It contains the history of the nation of Israel and Judah (Jews).
• It contains the history of the church.
• It gives God’s clear prophetic revelations to men regarding end time events.
• The bible explains the cause of all the evils in the earth, and gives the solution.
The entire bible hinges on the law of God: the old covenant law written on the outside, on tablets of stone; and the new covenant law written on the inside, on the heart of man.
You cannot ignore this book, this book is shouting, this book is imploring, this book is giving you the answers to your questions.
• Why should a man be a millionaire, and yet be so empty inside?
