Abide
Anchored Believer, Immovable, Determined Eternally
I thank God He will never leave or forsake me. Because I abide in Him, He enables me to keep my focus on Him and walk after the Spirit and not the flesh. As believers abiding in Jesus, we must be immovable in a world that tries to convince us to do things its way. The Word of God says we should not be conformed to this world. (Romans 12:2) To abide as believers, we must be transformed by the renewing of our minds. The world wants us to be politically correct. To abide as believers, we must be spiritually correct, regardless of what the consequences may be. We must not give in to the world’s views apart from what God says. To abide, we must be in agreement with what God says and not what people say. We must let God be true and every person a liar to be anchored believers, immovable and determined eternally to see the victory God has for us as we overcome the world.
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. (Psalm 91:1)
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. (John 15:7)
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. (John 15:4)
