“Prayer Matters” in this Hi-Tech era
In this emerging era of high paced and hi-tech world we are now living in – full of technology (cyber wars computer-generated) there is nothing human mankind can utter greater than his prayer relationship with God. With these days being so high paced it is so important (NOW!) than ever before to develop a prayer relationship with God. Times are changing and we need to make time for things that matter. Prayer matters – in matters of life prayer plays a big role.
Prayer put you face-to-face with God. Prayer is that face time - prayer is that connection you need in order to be close and personal with God. You need that close up relationship with God. People always talk about getting to the next level - my next level is my intimacy and closeness with God.
Most people only want a causal relationship with God “I pray only when I need something from Him”. I want my relationship with Him to be everlasting. A very good friend, a deacon from Mobile, Alabama was in a conversation with his daughter who graduated from a major university. His daughter was disappointed and saddened when she learned that she was not accepted in a sorority. She felt let down and probably betrayed by so-called friends. The deacon responded to his daughter disappointment and he said to her, “don’t worry about not being accepted by a sorority – focus your life on God because He has a sorority that gives you eternal life”. Once you learn how to connect with God there is such a chemistry that comes upon you that bond and attach you with Him forever.
In so many instances someone tells me that because of constant prayer to God their lives have changed dramatically. They share their success stories with me. So many times I say to myself – God can or could have done more if you asked Him for more. Why did you think God’s power is so limited? You must learn how to extend yourself to Him and before Him for God is Almighty and the world belongs to Him.
No matter how technological we may become God is still in control of this world and all its futuristic discoveries, findings, inventions, and all its encounters.
You must balance your life to include Prayer…
A FALSE balance is abomination to the Lord: but a just weight is His delight. Proverb 11:1
We must balance our lives so that prayer becomes part of our daily living. God want to be part of us so that we know Him well enough to call upon Him for fulfillment of all our needs.
Prayer is the best way to connect with God. So many people link prayer to their church life rather than to their home life and work life.
In the course of a day or a week prayer has it benefits in all three areas. Although the church settings are much easier to establish prayer, however, it is beneficial that we pray in the home and in the work environment. The home environment should include family participation and family involvement in the prayers. The work place in most cases will involve individual one on one prayer with God.
Regardless of the settings - God will respond to our prayers and attend to our needs. To be balance is so critical for all human beings. Prayer is a part of the equilibrium component that keeps us in balance.
Gaining confidence when Praying…
Too often we do not pray simply because we do not feel self-confident before God when we do pray. One of our primary goals is to give you the tools to help you become a better prayer by adding components to your current prayer plan. These components will add more leverage to your prayers and make you a better prayer.
We are forced to take accountability for health care planning, financial planning and retirement planning regardless of their high monetary cost. Your prayer plan is absolutely free and without risk.
A good prayer plan has a direct impact on you and your family. Many of your daily problems could be prevented if you pray to God sooner rather than later. A good prayer life takes action and that action is increasing your praying time with God. When you allow God to intercede in your prayer plan or any other plan you are provided the best plan possible.
There is a reward for praying and believing in God and that reward is greater than what other plans guarantees – that reward is everlasting life. When you finish this book you will not only improve your prayer skills but you will be able to effectively recite and write prayers as well.
Put a FIREWALL between you and satan…
Prayer keeps satan from plugging into our minds. satan is always trying to download his database into our hearts and souls. satan has an established database filled with sin, evil, doubt, wickedness, fear, confusion, mischief, lies, hatred, etc.
<>The Holy Spirit is our firewall protection that God has installed in us to help us delete the viruses of satan. It is easy to unplug satan and send him on his way. Praying opens the door to allow the Holy Spirit to enter into our minds to disconnect us from satan corruption and his tricks.
I often see satan trying to enter his corruption into my mind, but when I pray he migrates away from me at that moment. Whenever an evil thought begin to creep or sneak into your mind it is satan trying to plug his database into your mind. The thought could be a corruption from years past. At the beginning of an evil thought I begin to pray and call out to the Holy Spirit to guide me away from satan. satan suddenly leave then satan returns and I begin to pray – satan migrates and again and again satan keep trying to enter his database in my mind and I keep praying.
What would happen if I did not pray and call upon the Holy Spirit for protection against satan? What would happen if I do not read God’s scriptures? The biggest problem is that most people do not know how to pray and do not read scripture and do not understand the importance of the Holy Spirit.
