The wedding of Seth and Azura was filled with great excitement and celebration. All of the people of the village of Siaghlamh were arrayed in dazzling blues, greens, whited, pinks and yellows. They sang songs of great, overflowing joy, of the day when a descendant of Seth and Azura would redeem the earth from the curse incurred by the fall in the Garden. They danced and made music on wooden instruments they had made. All of the celebrations of the Cainites appeared dull, ugly and awkward in comparison to this grand event. Six sons and six daughters of Adam and Eve joined in the ceremony, making what was to be one wedding into seven.
Everyone in the village stopped working for the day to attend the celebration. In the middle of the village square was a banquet table covered with fresh fruit and vegetables of every kind, and the scent of freshly baked bread seemed to permeate the atmosphere. Everyone present, all of the sons and daughters of Adam and Eve who yet lived in Siaghlamh, and the children and grandchildren born to tem, came in turn and blessed Seth and Azura. Even the birds in the trees rejoiced on this day, and the beasts of the Forest came to watch the ceremony (and undoubtedly to eat some of the sumptuous food that had been prepared).
When night fell, the Curtain of Heaven rolled back, and the celebrants sang once again, joyfully under the stars. As they were singing, a flock of great winged lizards landed in the midst of those assembled in the village square and sat placidly on the ground. Seth, Azura, and the twelve others who had been married that day climbed upon the backs of the magnificent beasts that then arose high into the night sky, carrying them eastward.
They travelled until daybreak, when Seth descried a great mountain with a summit of such great height that it pierced the clouds. This was Mount Threthor, the chief and easternmost of the Kheruva Mountains. The flying lizards landed upon a plateau near the top of the mountain. On the plateau was a blue lake as clear as crystal. Forests and fields of flowers covered the plateau, surrounding the lake. Mighty Mount Threthor thus became the site where the most glorious of cities would be built - Lhiosquor, the City of Light.

About the Book
This first book in the After Eden series chronicles the rise of nations from the descendants of Cain and the descendants of Seth. When a branch of Cain’s line gives rise to the abominable race of Giants, Seth and his followers lay the foundations of the great city of Lhiosquor.
With divine help, the people of Lhiosquor manage to prevent the first generation of Giants from subjugating the human race. However, it is not long before decisions made by some of Seth’s descendants set in motion a prophesied sequence of catastrophic events. A new generation of Giants arises, threatening to destroy the City of Light from without as the ambition and machinations of the powerful threaten it from within.
At this time, God raises up the prophet Enoch. Descended from both the line of Seth and the line of Cain, Enoch presents a choice to the people of Lhiosquor and all other free peoples of the world: acknowledge God and receive His favour, or fall to the cruel dominion of the Giants.
About the Author
I have often wondered what the world might have been like before the Great Flood of Noah’s time. There are numerous accounts from cultures around the world of a great flood, as well as legends of what happened in the time before. The Bible gives us the only fully reliable account, but we have only a few chapters in Genesis about the generations and centuries that elapsed between the time of Adam and that of Noah. This book will introduce you to a rich, imaginative pre-flood world that will inspire your imagination and curiosity—and, I hope, build up your faith as well. I hope you enjoy the world of After Eden.
