We live in a spiritual world and on our own, to face, in an ungodly world and Satan. Most churches offer help on Sundays; many have great youth programs and mid-week studies.
Still, how does the sinner in a bar drinking beer or the working man, who is turned off by some bad church experience, lead his family to find God? The Good News is: God find’s them.
Who is God? God is first of all spirit. God the Father is so powerful we can not look at him without dying. I imagine being instantly burned to a crisp. The Holy Spirit, is the cooler side of God, we also can’t see, but expands the entire earth connecting to all Christians. He’s like the wind, He’s everywhere. Another part of God, who existed from the beginning of time became flesh and blood. He entered a baby, implanted somehow, in a young Jewish girl by the Holy Spirit.
According to the bible this baby had the Spirit of God in his mother’s womb. See Luke 1:41. John the Baptist, a baby himself, leaped with joy in Elisabeth’s womb when he recognized the spirit of the LORD God. This spirit of God would be called Ye-shu-a, in English, Jesus. He would take on the appearance of man, live with and teach twelve disciples God’s word, that would someday, spread around the world.
This book teaches thing about God you will not learn in church. The Bible teaches, from cover to cover, to trust in Him. That doesn’t come easy, not without His help.
We, June and I, experienced dozens of last second, life saving miracles. This preview is a few of the many we experienced in Washington State.
We rented a wonderful apartment near the State Capitol building in Olympia. God had been working with me for a few years teaching me a lesson, He provided - not more then we needed but always enough. We lived near Evergreen Collage, a liberal institution referred as the Washington State ‘Berkley’.
One day, listening to the radio the announcer mentioned a public access television channel looking for help.
“I’ll never be on television,” I thought but out of curiosity, I inquired into the job. It was volunteer work. They needed people to work in the Control Room, Camera Operation and Program Production. I attended afternoon classes receiving hands on experience helping to produce shows.
I asked if I could produce a program teaching about the Bible. There were certain rules to follow but they were glad to have another program to fill airtime.
The program, “World of Psalms”, was taped and aired twice a week. A woman painted a desert scene with hills, a small mud hut and a palm trees. It fit perfect with the format. I thought the program needed something more then my talking head and prayed for talent to join me. The LORD provided amazing help. A young man and women wrote and sang their own Country Christian Songs. Others had hobbies and talked of Christian values, they all had miracles to talk about. For a year God provided talent for the show.
In the center of a liberal, non-believing community, God was teaching his love and forgiveness.
The second year the program went live. A woman with a heart for God and of His word became a Co-host. God was preparing to make a change. This woman, more capable, would soon be running the live program herself.
I was playing the lottery hoping God would use the game to help us have more money. It was not his purpose. His VOICE asked why I was playing this game. “What I give you is for real,” He said. This was not the first or last time I’ve heard His voice.
I told June I had to give up playing the Lottery. In a couple days I received a call from the newspaper Union in Seattle. He gave me a number to call in Bremerton. The foreman in Bremerton asked when I could go to work. Tomorrow I answered. The next day I had a job that paid twice what I was making in Olympia, plus vacation and health insurance for June and myself.
Later I was moved to foreman position. Day after day we had breakdowns; while repairing the problem the Lord showed me a serious mistake in one or more pages. More breakdowns then I can saved us from printing a serious mistake. I’ll not go into detail our battle over pride and envy. I started having back and breathing problems because of the high humidity. It was like God was preparing us for the future. June found a job before I could no longer work. God opened doors for us to move to a drier climate in Colorado. He led June to a job as if He trained her for. This book is about a few of the miracles we experienced through the last 40 years. Angels, strangers unawares, we’ve met the Bible speaks of we and others have met. Some miracles, similar to what you, the reader have experienced. This book is to give hope, to all sinners, to trust God, and He will show you, beyond doubt, He exists.
