Giving Birth To Wisdom

Wisdom is not easily obtained; it takes a bit of labor for one to become wise. Wisdom is like a team of wild horses; though I can see wisdom, it’s hard to get the rope around it and once I get the rope around it, wisdom is still hard to tame. God by His Holy Spirit just dropped that in my spirit. You can hear the charge of wild horses but you can’t make out that it is horses until you actually see the horses. Wisdom is that same way; you can be in earshot of wisdom, you can hear the charge of wisdom but you don’t even realize that it is wisdom until it has been revealed to you as wisdom.

That’s why the Bible says, if you lack wisdom ask God for it. Why? Because we hear the charge of wisdom but we have a hard time identifying it as wisdom. Some say that knowledge is power. But I disagree and for this reason, I can have the knowledge of something and not know how or when to use what I know, so there is no power in that at all. That’s like having a gun and trouble arrives and you don’t know how to use the gun which could save your life if you only knew how to use it. So let’s not be deceived, God is not mocked, if a person doesn’t understand what they know, they can’t use what they know. Thus it is useless and good for nothing.

We have various views of what wisdom is and what wisdom looks like to us. We even have some person or persons who we consider to be the wisest or one of the wisest persons we know. Now how we gauge their wisdom varies. Is it justifiable? There is a litmus test that I believe will help us to legitimize our claim to the wisdom of those we consider being wise.
