Notice what the Apostle John was inspired to write… “And he said to me further, These are the true words of God”. The Old Testament prophets declared that “the Lord has spoken”, or the “word of the Lord came”. The Apostle Paul left us no doubt who the author of the Bible was. He tells us in 1 Corinthians 14:37-38, “…..the things I write to you are the Lord’s commandment…” (and) Paul’s fellow Apostle, Peter, was not absent in his own confirmation and was emphatic in his words in 2 Peter 1:20-21 NASB, “…no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.” If God was being physically attacked by Satan, wouldn’t you, as a true Christian, immediately put on your armor and fight for God? Why then would you do nothing less than to defend His word? “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” 2Tim 3:16-17 ESV
