Mike was an engineer for the New York Central. He was walking through the terminal to track number 4. His destination was Albany and home for the weekend. While walking to the train, he saw a young woman. She was pleading with the ticket agent to get her on the train. She was short one dollar. Mike turned and looked at the young woman. Her hair was long and dark. Her eyes brown and wet from crying. "Mister, I got to get home. I am broke and this is all the money I have on me. I've been sleeping in the station all night long, I have nowhere to go. I need help. Doesn't anyone care?" The woman continues to cry. Mike decides to pay the remainder of her fare.

About the Book
I was born in 1953 in Albany, NY. I attended Christian Brothers Academy through high school, It was then that I began my interest in English literature and writing. I continued my education at Loyola University at Montreal, Canada where I studied English and History. I continued on at SUNY College Albany. I am a father and grandfather and have instilled in them the same family loyalty my parents taught me. In 2002 I moved to Virginia so my wife could be closer to her family and reside there still.
