I had reached a deep, dark place, where I was beginning to doubt the very foundations of everything that I had learned over the years. As a last resort, I went to a local physical-medicine specialist, for his input. He felt that I had had a thoracic-outlet syndrome (which involves compression of nerves, blood-vessels, and other structures, generally located near the neck-shoulder interface). That was a real fun experience! He had recommended that I try some therapy, and exercises for what was going on. Let's just say that THAT did not work, very well!
Eventually, I had to put my license on in-active status (over the ensuing weeks, months, ...). As the financial consequences started to snowball, I had to close my office. [It's interesting, but my practice's tax-return pattern clearly shows not only that my first few years of practice had been a struggle (obviously), but it is even more evident that my finances had been damaged DRAMATICALLY -- and CORRESPONDINGLY -- after EACH, subsequent crash!!]

You may be suffering with health problems or physical difficulties; you may be confused about where they have come from. You may have a strong feeling—an inner awareness—that something is seriously wrong, but you have been told that either you have some specific condition (that doesn’t seem to line up with what you are going through), or that it’s all in your head, or that you are just a malingerer or a liar. The specific condition/diagnosis—as well as the actions and inactions of some individuals and agencies that are intertwined with all of this—have profoundly and deeply impacted the greater part of my life; that is what this book is all about. The message of this book, however, goes beyond those topics. My story may well be very much like the story of your life! You need to know what I have been through and am still going through.
About the Author
After high school, Dr. Lance Kubik worked in the Hazleton National Bank for a time as head teller. He then had received an associate’s degree in letters, arts, and sciences from Penn State. He is also a diplomate of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners. Besides subjects in the world of alternative healing sciences, Dr. Kubik also enjoys studying the Bible, playing chess, and keeping up with ongoing scientific discoveries and research that deal with the creation of mankind and of our planet.
