Prologue

While Anna waits for her eighteenth birthday and the love of her life, she spends her days with her family in Arkansas. She spends quite a bit of time with her grandparents and while she stays with them, her grandma tells her of her journey from Ireland to America. Anna tries to pass the time by working and surrounding herself with the ones she loves.

This book was developed over a few years by Josie. She always wanted to write a book about coming to America from Ireland and about living in the old days. With all the hard work and dedication she put into writing this book, she finally got it just how she wanted.

About the Author

Growing up in a big family during the 30’s and 40’s in Arkansas, with not much money, but lots of love and experiences to draw on, gave this author insight in writing this book. “Something I’ve always wanted to do,” says the author; the mother of four, grandmother, and great grandmother. Singer, musician, song writer. She sings and plays guitar for her own songs in her church. She loves writing poetry and children’s books as well. She had more stories in the making. Read and understand why this is truly the author’s “My Mountain Valley.”
