If a Pen Could Sing in Ink

Just think if it could. You, dear reader, would be hearing my song as you read not only this, but also anything I’ve penned. But who’s to say you can’t or won’t? My heart daily sings its song as I pen of Him, inking out its melody on paper. Joy extends through every word penned that conveys to the senses the underlying tune my heart renders as it tenders yet another message from God.
Is it loud? Soft? Maybe somewhere in between? Should it be faint, perhaps in time its intensity will increase. As with a song, life is full of crescendos and decrescendos. Your tune, whatever that may be, as well as its intensity, is predicated on the One-on-one relationship you have with the Lord. The Holy Spirit will bring forth your song from the depths of your soul. When that occurs, you will have no choice but to sing, as it’ll be a must. Nothin’s gonna stop ya—no holds barred! You’ll be in pure joy doing what He created you to do. Mine is penning of God in whatever form, poetry, ponderings, prayers (my favorite), cards, letters, whatever at-moment thought the Spirit moves me to pen of, revealing yet another tune for that one day it is to be music to the reader’s soul.
Although you are reading this in print, I would love for you to have read it in its handwritten form, penned in red ink, a display of swirling, elongated, connecting strokes, all created by pen in hand. An actual portrait of the ebb and flow, crescendos and decrescendos, creating each note to the song’s tune, through pen n ink.
“Is that possible? Did I accomplish that? Can it happen more than once?” God is capable of far more than we can imagine. Not only has He enabled me to sing another song, He has also granted it in the form of art, Word Art, visually created by the skill of penned words.
This is my song, singing in ink for you, dear reader, in the form of visual art that you may read of Him. As music is pleasant to the ears, I pray these words have been well received through the window of your eyes so the door to your heart will be open to the song He has for you, and you are moved to sing it! I leave you with this thought: Through what capacity will your song be sung?

What benefit are penned words if they are meaningless? If I am penning simply to promote me, I am dead within.
Some books are informative and entertaining, while others are a waste of trees. What have you been moved to read lately? What are you searching for an answer to? What is your burning desire to learn or understand? When you think you have that answer, ask yourself why.
Inner conflict is a pretty good indicator of spiritual warfare. Does the preceding statement raise any red flags for you? At times, when I’m experiencing conflict within, it has always resulted from my human nature and Satan battling my spirit. I have penned about much of this; I’ve no doubt there will be more.

Engaged in spiritual warfare since God laid claim on her soul in baptism on September 10, 1961, she writes through and about her life’s experiences.
