Ever since October 1st, 2011, life has seemed like one long day. The lighted hours seem to go by too slowly, and the darkened hours pass too quickly. On top of all of that is just a big blur. Ask me what I did a week ago and I would have to stop and actually make an effort to find the answer. Walking from one room to the next, I find myself wondering what I was doing in the room to begin with. Feeling normal one moment and crying the next. Wanting to eat everything in sight and feeling sick to my stomach. These, they say, are all the signs of a grieving person. They say grief never goes away; it only softens. Great! I will never be the same, changed forever, my life, because of the actions of another. I could point a finger at all the humanness of this, but I truly know that when it is all said and done, it is all God's plan. To think that I was living my life from one day to the next, being so pleased that for the first time in forever, my life actually seemed as if it was in order. We may believe we are the one in control of our lives, but we're not. God truly is.

About the Book
The thoughts of a godly woman put into words create a true story of what faith in Jesus really is and how to trust Him in the struggles we go through in life. When a mother of four loses a child, she comes to realize that God is with us no matter where we are. By trusting in our Lord, Jesus Christ, she is able to grow in her walk with God and learn what His love really is. As she heals from the death of her son, her faith grows even stronger in Christ; she learns God will never leave her nor forsake her.
About the Author
Amber Bartlett is stepping out in faith through obedience to God. She is a housewife and stepmother of four. She spends her days helping her children grow up as God grows her. She was born in Rhode Island, raised in Connecticut, and transplanted to Bowerbank, Maine. She enjoys the outdoors and has a renewed desire to learn more about life, what it has to offer, and the study of God’s Word. She finds inspiration in HGTV and allows God’s Word to give her strength to be all she can be.
