Grandpa Kobe is a very wise and kind tortoise. He travels to Tanzania, Africa, to make a difference by helping his two special friends to find hope again. His two friends are Amani, and his sister Pendo, who are street children. Based on true life, this story will reach out to the hearts of children and adults reading it. 

The story is intended to inspire children to:

• be kind to others 
• remember those in need and help them 

The book includes suggested ideas for children to make a difference.

About the Author

Nadia Hammond was born in Tanzania and grew up there. In Tanzania, she experienced and saw firsthand the struggles many children face, due to poverty, war, and other social or political instabilities. From a very young age, Nadia has always felt a strong desire to do what it takes to help children in need. The author's hope is that this book will create an awareness and a desire in the reader to make a difference in the world with children in need.
