About the Book
Mr. Purvis has a problem on his ranch. The ingenious Mr. Purvis devises a plan to protect his favorite fishing hole from unwanted guests. He solves the problem the old-fashioned way—with humor, wit, and a “Tiny” solution. Enjoy firsthand how a real cowboy morally and ethically solves his problems.
You will find yourself chuckling with your children as you read along with the first of Mr. Purvis’s adventures. This story is only the beginning of the Mr. Purvis series, all based on true stories. These adventures will be brought to life through Mr. Purvis, his ranch dogs, his old horse, and his new horse. Just what will Mr. Purvis do next?
About the Author
Brian Eckert, his wife, and three children live and work on the family ranch near Fredericksburg, Texas. Brian is a fifth-generation Texan, of German heritage. He grew up farming and ranching, which has instilled in him the importance of the old cowboy ways of faith, family, farming, and ranching. He still enjoys riding his gray mare Mystic, and Mystic enjoys working the cattle along with Missy and Patches, the cow dogs. Even though Brian is a part-time rancher, he takes pride in ranching and managing the land, a gift that God has given us; he still believes that we are to be good stewards of the earth.
