COMFORT
With God
There are no fences
Neither race nor creed
He looks upon the heart
And sees its dire need.
He comes to comfort
Or give hope and cheer.
How wonderful to know
That He is always near!
So give your problems to Him
And know without a doubt
That He is always with you
And your life is working out.
Our Father always has a plan
And this we may not see
But pray to Him
And trust in Him
Your heart will be set free!

About the Book
Today we are experiencing much environmental and natural turbulence--hurricanes, tornadoes, raging fires, as well as political upheavals in the world. Our whole beings cry out for peace. Throughout the ages, poetry has served as a calming and rallying influence during life’s turmoil.
The poems in Under His Wings illustrate that God is our refuge, and these truths are revealed:
A spirit-filled life is infinitely rich.
Hope as a beacon of light propels all people to Liberty.
Only Love can bring Peace to one and all.
“God is love” (John 4:8b).
About the Author
Myrtle Van Laar is a retired educator and librarian. She taught first through fifth grade and later directed a children’s department in a public library in Hyattsville, MD. She enjoys her many nieces and nephews. Her hobbies are art, music, reading and writing poetry. She now resides in Silver Spring, MD.
