In our humanness, we are unable to fully comprehend God’s great love for us, but it is His desire that we not only come to intellectual knowledge of His love, but that we would have revelation of it, as only the Holy Spirit can give us. As we become more confident in God’s love for us, we are able to trust Him more, and when that happens we will experience victory in our lives like we would never have thought was possible. Our human relationships can develop conditions that will separate us from one another and it is true that we can do things that will separate us from God’s presence and His blessings but God never changes, and nothing can ever separate us from His love. (Romans 8:39) He will never just suddenly disappear or give up on us. There is nothing too big for God to accomplish. Nothing is impossible for Almighty God, our heavenly Father. As we develop a more intimate relationship with Him through prayer and spending time in His presence, we are able to come to an awareness of our great need for Him and to grow in confidence in Him. It is in that place of total surrender and dependence that we realize as best we can in our humanness, just how awesome God really is.

Our Father is one person’s journey of discovery into the Lord’s Prayer. You are invited to enter into your own journey of discovery of your heavenly Father and His love for you and for all of humankind. Scripture reveals to us that His desire for His children is overall restoration and wholeness. Through the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus taught us that we can ask our heavenly Father for every facet of that wholeness, and He encourages us to do just that.
In Our Father, Renee Noseworthy discloses the Scriptures that have meant so much to her and shares her personal experience of how they have directed her ongoing path toward wholeness. Each petition of the Lord’s Prayer contains key elements of God’s nature that can guide you along that journey for yourself. Each chapter concludes with some very thought-provoking questions for personal or group study. Those questions are intended to highlight the attributes of God as our heavenly Father and how thoroughly He provides for the needs of those who are willing to trust Him.
