About the Book
Life has its way of dictating to us a direction that may not be best. The dictation comes from expexted participation in society and our experiences. The best life direction has to include God’s divine plan for our certainty of peace and happiness. Most do not see or realize God’s plan until a series of mistakes open doors to true reality.
Two such individuals experienced this life-changing direction at an unexpected time during the winter years of their lives. The prose within tells of this direction and their findings. Although not searching or seeking , life’s circumstances directed each of them on a path always desired, yet never attained until each stopped trying themselves, and allowed God’s true direction to lead.
“This poetry will inspire the reader for years to come. Its reality of finding real love in the winter years of life is truly refreshing.”
—Mattie Hughes, Teacher
About the Author
Martann is a pen name used by the writer to show a combined effort in the production of this book. The author is a counselor and pastor who has been very active in many arenas of life for the past thirty-five+ years. Having wide diversity in client history, experience has helped to lend to the incidents noted in this book of prose and verse.
As with all things in this life, Martann is a conglomerate. Many facets of experience lend to the makeup of the intellect and personality of the final writings. As Martann would say, “Open your closed eyes to your life that has been, is being lived now, and that which will come.” Each phase brings a beautiful array of experiences, memories, and wishes that will last you in this lifetime.
Martann enjoys God’s creation of people. Each person has a unique makeup shaped by life’s situations and circumstances. The way Martann sees it, we often allow our experiences to dictate and at times encumber the correct choices that God intended for each one to make, in order to enjoy this wonderful world that was made for us.
So stop a moment and reflect on your life as you read these wonderful stories of life experiences, experienced and shared by Martann. Experiences of love, successes, encumbrances and releases, freedoms and mental imprisonments—and perhaps you as well will find and do what God purposed for you the rest of your lifetime.
Choose well, after much thought!
