About the Author
Dr. Elizabeth Newell Bergland lived in Lexington, Massachusetts, while teaching English and math at Lesley College. After her husband died, she began to write sonnets. After retiring she moved to Centerville, Massachusetts, on Cape Cod, where she continued teaching at church and became the principal of the Sunday school.
