About the Book

There is a quote inscribed on the walls of the Jefferson Memorial in Washington DC by Thomas Jefferson—first secretary of state, second vice president, and third president of the US. He issues a very insightful warning to the future generations: “God, who gave us life, gave us liberty. And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are a gift from God? That they are not to be violated but with his wrath? Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just, and that His justice cannot sleep forever.” After years of praying for good and godly leaders to be raised up into positions of leadership on the state, local, and national level, as I looked around and formed an assessment of the situation before us, I started asking the question, Where are the godly leaders?

About the Author

Troy A. Jarvis was born in 1961, born again in 1985. Biblical worldview training: 2003 to present. He started reading the Holy Scriptures at a young age and was inculcated by their truth and transformed through the years with the much-appreciated assistance of some very wise and profound instruction, facilitated by men who may someday be considered the John Witherspoons of our day. (John Witherspoon served as president of Princeton University and was also a signatory of the Declaration of Independence. He was quoted as saying: “If your case is just, if your principles are pure, and if your conduct is prudent, you need not fear the multitude of opposing hosts.”)
