Beyond Ignition
Caught in the undertow of my emotions,
Drowning by pity tears in the ocean.
When I can’t accept the ways of some one else,
Perhaps, it’s time to change myself.
Lost in my selfish anger for a while,
Found in the sunshine of your smile,
I came to the spirit of my senses,
And corralled my wrath in eternal fences.
When things don’t go my way, and I accept that reality,
Then I’m no longer chained, but bound to be free.
I’m learning to be content with my condition,
Cooled from above, and beyond the coals of ignition.
You’re Mist Today
It’s taken a life time of struggles to discover my worth.
In the mean time, the Lord has made another wondrous day.
Such a good time, to be glad before it passes away,
Soon revealing everlasting life, better than the day of birth.
Praise the Lord for his risen son.
You’re mist today, and yesterday was borrowed.
Let God be with you in joy and thru sorrow.
Praise the Lord when the day is done.
