On the departure of my 7 day hospital stay, the nurse was wheeling me to the front door. I glanced over in the lobby area and noticed a lovely black grand piano. Instantly my heart was drawn in that direction, so I asked to be wheeled over beside it. I told my husband to lift the cover as I daringly placed one very weak finger on the ivories. As pain seared through my hands and arms I pressed one key and exclaimed, " I cannot be contained!" This one key, this one note, this one sound, started me on my road to freedom. I knew I had to decree and declare that I would NOT succumb to the words of the doctor which said I would not play the piano as I did before. I had to proclaim the victory that I knew I wanted; and that there must be a demand placed on my faith that announced I would not be contained or confined within walls of disability.
