The Christ-Centered Life

This book is about my own journey into Christ-centredness, a personal journey that still goes on daily for me and will continue to do so throughout my life. I present this book as a beginning and as a foundation for the journey into Christ-centredness that each of us can undertake as we grow in Jesus for ourselves. Therefore, this book gives you some starters and pointers for your own journey into Christ-centredness. 

Since Jesus the Christ really is the centre of everything, everyone should be aware of a way of looking at things that realises – makes real – the centrality of Christ in their everyday lives. Of course this requires revelation from God, and that is another reason why the style of this book should not stand in the way of the reader encountering Jesus through the pages that follow. Indeed, it is my deepest desire that nothing should prevent my readers from seeing Jesus for themselves and having a real and lasting encounter with him that leads to a life of Christ-centeredness. 

Perhaps this book will cause people to consider the person of Jesus in a new way. I hope so. This book’s primary function is to point to Jesus – it aims to make him seen and known. It aims to make Jesus known as he really is – not how we would like him to be. I constantly aim to look beyond my own prejudices – for we all have them – and I ask the Spirit of God to simply open my eyes that I may see Jesus. I hope that is why you read this book. I hope that you, too, can look beyond your own prejudices and see Jesus as he really is. If Jesus is known and worshipped by you as a result of you reading this book, I will be very happy.
