Actions Speaks Louder than Words

For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass (King James, James 1:23).

For if you just listen and don’t obey it is like looking for your face in the mirror but doing nothing to improve your appearance (New Living, James 1:23). A Problem

If there is a problem then there is a solution.

First you have to admit the problem and identify the problem. Then you can start poking the problem with prayer after a while you will find a soft spot. Pick in that spot until you get down to the root of the problem. Dig it up and cast it into the fire. Let it burn and burn until it is consumed.

If I must need glory I will glory of the things which concern mine infirmities (King James, 11 Corinthians 11:30).

If I must boast I would rather boast about the things that show how weak I am (New Living, 11 Corinthians 11:30).

There are times when I know I should do something. I put it off, Never put off until tomorrow what you need to do today. Tomorrow may not come, Do all the good you can do today.

Share a Bible verse today It will chase the blues away. Give a helping hand to a young mother That child she will not smother Tell someone to have a blessed day That would cheer them on their way. Acting Up

Keep on acting up, when I get on your behind I am going to pay you for old and new. And you’ll just take it like a plant.

The day finally came. Mama put down the walking cane and picked up the whip. She went pop, pop and started her remembering game. Lord, Jesus knows I do not remember a thing but she did. She said, “Do you remember when I sent you to Mrs. Bell and you took your own time? Do you remember when I sent you to take the preachers’ food and you stopped and played with the other children?” Pop! Pop! I screamed, “Oooee please, please, I won’t do it no more.” She said, “Do you remember when I told you to share that apple with your cousin? I said give her half. It is no such thing as a bigger half. If the apple is half then both sides are equal.” Pop! Pop! “You will do the right thing even if I have to half kill you. I am going to whip your behind until it rope like okra. I am not raising any jail bird.” Pop! Pop! “Oooee! O Lord I am not going to do it again. I am going to be good.” Pop! Pop! “Eee! Oh! Help me! Help me!”

If mama was living today and whipped us like she did then she would be under the jail not in the jail.

And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted substance with riotous living. 14. And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want (King James, Luke 15:13-14).

A few days later this younger son packed all his belongings and took a trip to a distant land, and there he wasted all his money on wild living (New Living, Luke 15:13-14).

Scoundrels hunt for Scandal; their words are a destructive blaze (New Living, Proverbs 16:27).

Why dig up that old stuff? It’s not benefiting neither one of us, just let it rest, give your mind a recess.

That thing that happened years ago they have already reaped what they have sewn, there is nothing we can do about the past. We are a new generation in a different class. Anger

Do not go to bed angry with anybody you may not wake up the next morning. - Helen Green

Be ye angry and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath (King James, Ephesians 4:26).

And don’t sin by letting anger gain control over you. Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry (New Living, Ephesians 4:26). Attitude

Don’t look now, your attitude is showing.

That haughty attitude you got up with this morning could come to a naughty attitude by night.

Pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall (King James, Proverbs 16:18).

Pride goes before destruction, and haughtiness before a fall You need to get down off your HIGH HORSE (New Living, Proverbs 16:18)

For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abase, and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted (King James, Luke 14:1).

For the proud will be humbled, but the humble will be honored (New Living, Luke 14:1).
