Esther, like many of us, feels like she doesn't fit in, and isn't good enough to achieve greatness. One day, she creates a list of her flaws and shortcomings, and reads them off to Jesus. Saddened by her lack of self-worth, Jesus creates his own list, telling Esther all the reasons why she is wonderful. He says that she is great because she is His. He reminds her that she is a one of a kind creation, made in His image to bring glory to God above. No matter the reflection she sees in the mirror, or what others may think of her, Esther comes to know, that in the eyes of the Lord, she is Priceless.

About the Author

Jamison DeWeerd, as one of seven kids growing up in a Pastor’s family in Broadview Heights, Ohio; going against the grain of society was inevitable. The world’s standards were always much different than God’s standards, making fitting in and finding her own niche, at times, a difficult task. However, through the guidance and support of family and friends she was able to grow in her faith, learning that God had a plan for her, and to be accepted, all she needed to be was herself.

In writing Priceless, Jamison hoped to encourage a friend struggling to appreciate her physical appearance; now she hopes that everyone will come to the realization that they are loved, wanted, and have a purpose in this world. We all struggle at times, and think that we aren’t good enough, but the truth of the matter is this; God created us all with a specific purpose in mind, and he designed everyone unique in His image. He has given everyone special talents and features that will help them bring him glory in all that they do. God loves you and wants you to find joy in who you are. He made, saved and will enable you to be all that He designed you to be because you are PRICELESS!
