At the farm where we lived, a man came along in a wagon pulled by a mule team. He was a peddler selling sewing machines. He picked up rugs as well and left over sewing materials. He would come by hollering, “Ah rag man, ah rag man! Rag mops rag mops!” I remember when I would misbehave mother would say, “Straighten up or Rag Man will get you.”

About the Book
This is a small book of thoughts and poems and my understanding of what it is to live a life for Jesus. I dedicate it to all my children, and I hope that the memories of my life will recall a simpler and better time when families prayed together and loved the Lord.

About the Author
Lois was born in Dallas in 1921. She was married to Orbie Hiser, and they had four children before his unfortunate passing due to heart attack. She later married the Reverend Edward M. Newcomb, with whom she had her last child. She was once again left a widow when Rev. Newcomb passed away in 1973 She is ninety-two and currently resides in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
