About the Book
J.E. Huckabee believes that inside every person is a desire to live life to the fullest. “Life without peace is a miserable journey,” writes Huckabee. Our lives should include living with purpose and calm contentment, regardless of what comes our way.
Personal upbringing and life experiences mix with current behavior and set patterns in motion in the human mind and heart. These patterns determine how a person reacts to life’s situations. When people venture out to apply the principles of peace in their lives, they begin to transform these old patterns into new patterns, which bring about an instilled peace in place of stress and worry.
Pursuing Peace, quenched in God’s Word and Jason’s life experiences, is designed to correct the emulation of sorrow and misery with a fresh mindset of peace, one that radiates from the reader when applied to their life and to those around them.
About the Author
J.E. Huckabee is a business executive from Texas. He has worked in manufacturing for over twenty years and managed factories in America and in other countries around the globe. Jason is educated in electrical engineering but thrives in business management and personnel leadership. Pursuing Peace is his first book.
A Christian for over thirty years, Jason has personally experienced the joys and hardships of life with Christ at his side. He has also experienced like times in the lives of those around him. The link between the two has been the quest for inner peace. Jason began to notice this commonality between people. He then joined his life experiences with God’s Word to write Pursing Peace as a simple means for growing peace in the minds and hearts of people.
Jason lives in Houston, Texas, with his wife, Alice, and their three children. They are members of Sugar Creek Baptist Church in Sugar Land. Jason enjoys ministering to his men’s group at work. He likes to repair antique clocks, make exotic wood writing instruments, and spends hours at a time tinkering in the garage or just being in the great outdoors.
