INNER RAINBOWS
So many times one's inner rhymes Are missed by those who choose Not to explore the deeper core Until after they lose.
The jingle songs and sing alongs We learn to internalize Often flow deep as we sleep Seeing our dreams materialize.
For those who choose not to lose Anything through life's streams They do not fail to take the sail Realizing their dreams.
In these dreams it often seems The clouds will sometimes darken If it ever feels that things are unreal To this one needs to harken.
I am learning that feelings concerning The beloved people in my life Are being changed and rearranged While living without strife.
Pressing to the mark out of the dark Is a process continual From our birth into this earth We make progress perpetual.
Do not be resistant but persistent In seeking the end of the rainbow In each of us on God's canvas These colors will rise, I know. PURPOSE ON THE SURFACE
It is a contradiction Merely a story of fiction To live life on the surface Where your treasure lies Your pleasure complies Without depth of purpose.
The spirit cries out In confusion and doubt To escape mere existence The authentic self Often sits on a shelf In the path of least resistance.
Within each of us is found Talents which abound To be fully utilized In this time and place With your rhyme and space For your depth to be realized.
To be content in all things Is not meant to cut the wings Of your inner spirit Out of your comfort zone You are never alone Unlearn the doubt, do not fear it.
Refuse to cheat the self And come down off the shelf Of fear and complacency Living your purpose Above and below the surface In full authenticity.

About the Book
The outpouring of this poetry deep from within was cathartic and cleansing. Along the way, I learned the difference between happiness and joy. I was happy for my sister when she gave birth to her beloved children but joyful when I was blessed by the birth of my own.
I was on a road to Damascus, blinded by roots of bitterness of which I was unaware. As my eyes became unscaled, it was sometimes frightfully overwhelming to look at the facts of my life.
Living in the peace beyond understanding is my daily state of being. I am anxious for nothing. I have come to truly believe that rejection is God’s protection, for He knows where these feet should not tread.
I pray that these insights yield enlightenment to all who are touched by the words.
About the Author
This journey began in 1953, but this life began in 1997. These poems evolved out of travels back from near death. This near-death experience was both physical and spiritual. In this journey back, the agape love that our Creator has for us became clearly evident.
