Am I There Yet?

The message most expressed by the women in my life, both professionally and socially, is a message of exhaustion, mentally and physically. There just is not enough hours in the day to achieve all the tasks and activities our busy lives demand of us. All too often our spirituality and a personal relationship with the Lord is the commitment most generally to be neglected, and the one most needed to bring about a longed for peace.
As with any new venture, the beginning steps are always the hardest. This study is simply 90 days! I can remember starting a weight loss program many years ago. If I had been told at the time it would take me 8 months to achieve my goal, the probability of my success would have dramatically lessened. I would not have trusted myself to follow through. Even 90 days may seem too much when you barely have time to complete all of today’s tasks. Do not concern yourself with the 90th day, simply plan for today!
The beginning step is simply to listen for the urging of the Holy Spirit. God wants a deeper relationship with you right now. Don’t wait until Monday, New Years Day, a day with less to do, the week-end, (you fill in the blank with your personal excuse). Start right now, today, and follow the urging of your heart. This is a gift for you from the Father, the Lord, and creator of time itself. You simply have to make the commitment.
