I want to thank you for joining me on this journey through what I refer to in this book as my memory bank. I hope the memories I have unearthed and laid down in writing will in some way bring a smile or tears of happiness to someone who just might need a touch of joy or inspiration in their life. Receiving the blessing of writing from the Lord has made me the man I am today and always have been—a child of God. I hope that a spark might be ignited in your own heart that will bring you closer to knowing your true self and help you to realize we are all worth something in this life, not only to ourselves but to others. Now, wouldn’t that be heaven sent?

About the Author

Jimmy “Jim” Dale McClelland was born on November 12, 1947, in the small town of Leachville, Arkansas. In 1965, Jim was given the blessing of marrying Janice Ann Poe and still to this day reaps the rewards of that blessing from God. Besides his wife and two children, Matt and Amie, he was also given another blessing much later on in life: the gift of writing. Many might consider Jim a businessman, but he is also known to many as a loving husband, caring father, and friend for life. As you will discover in this book, one of Jim’s greatest passions is for the outdoors—specifically, mowing the lawn! You will find him rolling along on one of his lawnmowers, a place he considers a peaceful time to reflect on the blessings that God has provided him and his family for so many years. This alone time with God appears to have given him much more than a beautifully manicured lawn; he has received many gifts from above.
