How to Handle False Prophets and False Prophecies

a simple test of a false prophet is DID THEY DIE IN JERUSALEM? This quickly eliminates probably half of the Americans who said they were prophets (Joseph Smith – founder of the Mormon heresy, died in Missouri). Yahshua said, 
Luk 13:33 
"Nevertheless I must journey today, tomorrow, and the [day] following; for it cannot be that a prophet should perish outside of Jerusalem. 
Luk 21:20 
"But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near. 

Symbols in dreams and visions and what they possibly mean. 
Hsa 12:10 
I have also spoken by the prophets, And have multiplied visions; I have given symbols through the witness of the prophets." 
There a number of symbols in dreams and visions to look for, as messages that Abba may be speaking to you. Here are a few: 
Spiders – craftiness, can be witchcraft or fear but not always (I saw a vision of an angel with a spider (probably symbolic of a spirit of witchcraft) and the caregiver of the widow confessed that her granddaughter had been dappling in the occult. I told her to destroy the objects in her home that were occultic and lay hands on this young woman and tell Satan to leave! 
Pro 30:28 
The spider skillfully grasps with its hands, And it is in kings' palaces. 
Cats – I have had a number of dreams about cats and these have often come to pass in the natural. Strife, spirits of distraction. I have seen many times specifically how animals pull the saints out of deep prayer times. One dream that comes to mind was when a cat was outside and my mother was inside the house (in the dream). Something was attacking her and yet I somehow got pulled out of the house by a cat (distraction). 
Cows – women who are living in careless ease (like rich American women) and who oppress the poor 
Amo 4:1 
Hear this word, you cows of Bashan, who [are] on the mountain of Samaria, Who oppress the poor, Who crush the needy, Who say to your husbands, "Bring [wine], let us drink!" 

Dogs – Jews who preach circumcision and the law as a means of righteousness before Eloheem 
Fruit – judgment, harvest of souls 
Thus אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה showed me: Behold, a basket of summer fruit. 

Amo 8:2 
And He said, "Amos, what do you see?" So I said, "A basket of summer fruit." Then אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה said to me: "The end has come upon My people Israel; I will not pass by them anymore.
Moldy bread – dead works, hoarding, stinginess, distrust 
A dirty house – a person in need of deliverance A clean house – a person who has received deliverance and is now filled with the Holy Spirit 
Trees – healing (leaves) and people who are firmly rooted and grounded in the WORD 
Money – people who need to be taken out of sinful lives, souls of men 
Scorpion – lesbian spirit, spirit of lust or perversion (I saw a vision of a woman in Jerusalem who turned into a scorpion) My wife recently discerned a spirit that became violent and abusive through touch. Some spirits (especially sexual) manifest through physical touch (be careful). 
Snake – tribe of Dan, wise as a serpent, also a spirit of perversion 
Frog – unclean spirits including false prophecy, homosexual spirit, spirits that talk too much, fear, greed, lying signs and a spirit of adultery 
Fire – purification, the Holy Spirit baptism 
Water – refreshing, and the Holy Spirit 
Jhn 7:37 
On the last day, that great [day] of the feast, Yahshua stood and cried out, saying, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. 

Colors (I personally believe that colors can mean different things to different people and the Holy Spirit knows how to speak to each of us, but here are suggestions) 
Blue (see Numbers 15), 
Num 15:38 
"Speak to the children of Israel: Tell them to make tassels on the corners of their garments throughout their generations, and to put a blue thread in the tassels of the corners. 
Purple – royalty 
Red – the blood of the Lamb, war 
Pale green – the spirit of Islam, the spirit of false accusation (I once received a vision of a kitchen in an African American church in southern CA and a HUGE DEMONIC LOOKING PALE GREEN FINGER WAS pointing at me. I noticed that in wisdom as my mother said years ago I needed to stay OUT of that kitchen!) 
Rev 6:8 
So I looked, and behold, a pale horse. And the name of him who sat on it was Death, and Hades followed with him. And power was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts of the earth. 
(the Greek word for ‘pale’ is χλωρός chlōros and that chemical turns your hair pale green. Is this a prophecy about chemical warfare in addition to the spirit of Islam?) I learned about this one by a revelation from the Holy Spirit. I saw a vision of a green glow stick in my mouth. To me personally it was a warning from the Holy Spirit that 
Pro 18:21 
Death and life [are] in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit. 
My tongue was being used to speak death instead of life! We must be careful what we say… 
Black – poverty, death 
Something I learned in Kansas City is how to use symbols in visions or dreams in evangelism. They called it ‘treasure hunting.’ This is where you pray in the Spirit before going to share your faith and you ask for words of knowledge and symbols to lead you in the ministry you do.
