The Cornerstone provides the opportunity for the traveler to turn the corner of death, allowing him to travel beyond his line of sight. If it wasn’t for the Cornerstone, we might think that the road makes a dead end, with the emphasis on dead. But, if we take heed of the Cornerstone, we can “turn the corner” and follow the road on the other side of the (tomb)stone. For the traveler to continue toward his destination, it is imperative for him to pay attention to the Cornerstone.

Each of us wants to live boldly with confidence and conviction, daring to pursue life with vigor. In reality, we often find life to be mundane, futile, and frustrating, characterized more by anxiety than by confidence. Thirty years of diligent exposition of Scripture from a research scientist’s perspective has culminated in this exposé of our mortal journey. Dr. Holloway has experienced the risks of living on the edge from his upbringing on a west Texas dirt farm, to the challenges he presently addresses exploring the edge of knowledge concerning global beef production.
